Way back in the 1970's, Frank Parmer drove down the Keys from Miami and opened a fishing camp on Little Torch Key. Parmer's Place grew over the years and when Frank wanted to retire, Jay Marzella stepped in to fill his shoes. Jay was welcomed to the Keys with Hurricane George but cleaned up, built up and expanded Parmer's Resort to the fourteen buildings scattered over five acres that it is today. In 2017, Jay and his lovely bride Sandy retired and sold Parmer's Resort to the Mullers.
The Muller's first came to the Key's when you needed to take a ferry between islands or experience the thrill of travelling the old railroad Seven Mile Bridge with the flag. For five generations, the Mullers have been innkeepers in New England and have always tried to find ways to spend more time 'down south'. After looking for the perfect place for many years, we found Parmer's Resort and fell in love.
Parmer's Resort is an eclectic collection of rooms, efficiencies, suites and cottages, spread over five acres of waterfront. Interspersed with hammocks, adirondack chairs, picnic tables and grills, we hope you enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. To enhance your stay, we have included free Wifi, a light buffet breakfast, afternoon cookies, coffee and lemonade, bocce, a 4 hole mini golf and heated pool. Make the most of your time with kayak and paddleboard rentals, water aerobics or yoga classes, boat rentals, snorkel or dive trips or meet up with one of our local charter captains to visit their 'honey-hole'. Twenty-five miles to Key West for the best nightlife, shopping, and siteseeing. Our goal is for you to take home the best memories of your time in the keys.
